Going Green with Phillip Morris

I’ve been watching this kid for years…he is one of the dopest emcees Chicago knows and a sweet pea to boot.
Those who know around these parts in Chicago – know he is the original nerdy emcee.

This clip is so hip hop theater it’s ridiculous…
Put on your art deco grimy hip hop love cap and check it.

Phillip Mo – we will always be down.
I’m happy to share this joint…

So CHI….

Life is Living – Uptown Unity Festival 7/18 CHI

I’m very proud to support Kuumba Lynx and all they do for youth, for hip hop and how they tie education to the overall idea.

This year’s theme is  GREEN — Kuumba Lynx is committing to showing the Big Boys of Corporate Green that they DO NOT  have a lock on the movement.  These young people are taking the initiative for self to reduce their carbon footprint and empower themselves and the community about real ways to recycle and participate in a power move on the environment.

This year will mark a special year – as HBOs Brave New Voices graces the already dope festival – it’s a must not miss event.

Like I said… it’s an honor.  Bring your kids, bring yourselves…

Here’s the info… support the arts, support hip hop that works for the youth.

FINAL Life Is Living

The Indie Grinder – Room 11 @ MOBfest 6/19 11pm

OK – so the first question I’m sure is What the hell is MOBfest?

MOBfest has been in operation since 1997.  Based in Chicago, this three day music conference gives bands in the Midwest an opportunity to be seen and heard by a gathering of A&R reps from both coasts, media executives, managers, producers and other music industry professionals.

In its 12 year run, MOBfest has hosted many showcases with artists that went on to various levels of success including: The Killers (Island Def/Jam), Disturbed (Giant Reprise), Rachael Yamagata (RCA), Absentstar (Columbia), Assassins (Arista), The Redwalls (Capitol), Kill Hannah (Atlantic), and many more.

So now that you know – get yourself to Goose Island Brewery in Wrigleyville – 3535 N. Clark.
5 Dollars for your pleasure – grab some beer, get some food and post up for a rockin’ ass show.
We need all asses in the building by 11pm – posse up and be ready – showtime will be shortly after that.

Room 11 are:  Allegra Dolores , Big Ced , Frankie Blaze and Mr Murphy

Those that know – will be there.

Those that don’t know – bring yo’ self…

Room 11 brings funk, rock, hip hop, and soul
up close and direct to yo’ earhole.

Gotta live – to see it live.
